Taksin Maharat National Park

　Thaksin Maharat National Park is about 60 kilometers from the town of Mae Sot. Thaksin Maharat National Park has lodges, campgrounds and rental tents so you can stay overnight.
I took a rental bike from Mae Sot, so it took about 1.5 hours to get to the national park. Although this road is a mountain road, it is almost like a highway, so it is possible to run on a motorcycle for about 60-70 km. 　However, it is winding on the mountain road, so be careful not to overspeed.
Since the scenery is beautiful, I think it is good to enjoy a little touring. There is nothing you can’t do even with two people, but there are some places where the slopes are a little tight, so it will take more time to get there. It depends on the displacement and power of the bike.

　It is the way to Thaksin Maharat National Park. I ran along a mountain path, but I thought it was an expressway, so it was very easy to drive.
　There were a gazebo and a view point in places, and the view from there was the best.
　I think that it is good for a little touring.
 
　A service area called Doi Muser Market near Thaksin Maharat National Park? This is a market, so I took a break. I was given a sample of melon, it was very sweet and delicious. It was really sweet like Japanese melon.
　The price is as low as 1 kg 50 baht, US$1.2. I went to the destination, but it was my luggage, so I bought a melon by return. The average size of the melon, 70 baht, was US$ 2. The taste was also delicious.

　I arrived at Thaksin Maharat National Park. The entrance fee is required, Thais had a total of 60 bahts, 40 bahts is the entrance fee and 20 bahts for motorcycles, and 200 bahts for foreigners. There is another National Park nearby, I wondered what to do, so the person in charge told me that it is OK, the same price of Thais 60 baht, so I decided to try it. Thank you very much.
　The site is very large and there are also facilities such as lodges and campsites.
　The sign says “Big Tree” so I decided to go.
　It is about 800 meters from the National Park’s Head Quarter, and you can go to by motorbike through the park to the Big Tree car park.
 
 
　Here is the entrance and parking lot of Big Tree. I will walk from here to the Big Tree. Going down and going back climb, it is written 400 meters. There are many places on the stairs, and it is easy to go, but it is hard to return.
　It is quite painful, if you do not have a drink, so be sure to bring it with you.
 
　Is it about 20 minutes? I just got down and arrived at the big tree. Well, it’s like this. It is an exercise than to come to see the Big Tree.
　There was a sign that there is a waterfall about 1 km from the Big Tree, but I did not go there because I had no time.
　On the way back, I measured it because the altimeter was on the watch. The Big Tree is 770 meters and the parking lot is 910 meters. We have to go up and down about 140 meters.

If you are alone, using a tent, you can save your money. It can be used by renting a motorbike for two days, but I think that there is no foreign travelers staying here.
