Arokaya Onsen Village (Pong Kham Ram)

Arokaya Onsen Village (Pong Kham Ram)

There is a hot spring on the outskirts of Mae Sot. There are three hot springs in Mae Sot, but I have only been here. This Arokaya Onsen Village (Pong Kham Ram) was a very good property. However, the foreigner was 200 baht per person. Among the 200 baht, it includes pet bottled water, bath towel and shorts, so you can enjoy it nothing preparation.
Opening hours are available until 18:00 in the evening, and can be used until around 18:30 or 19:00.

It is a hot spring facility located about 25 km from the town of Mesort. It took about 40 minutes with a rental motorbike. It is a bit confusing, so you may get lost. I got lost on my way.

And please be careful as admission is until 18:00.

The temperature of the hot water is quite hot at 44 degrees. At first, we only put in footbath and can not sork. By the way, there is no water that can not cool the hot water, so there is nothing to cool naturally.

Foreigners is approximately 200 yen for 200 baht. There is no problem, if you go to the hot spring nothing preparation. It includes pet bottled water, bath towels, shorts and so on.

If you are Asians, just hand over 100 baht without saying anything, they may be considered as Thais and may enter at Thai prices. Hahaha. In my case, I said “How much?”, So they thought I am a foreigner. I think they thought I am Thai, if I didn’t sayanything.

This is a changing room, so change to shorts here and then going to the hot spring. The photo below is a hot spring. It is not a large bath like Japan, everyone is in a one-man bath. The feet can not be extended completely, but the bathtabs are large, and enough for one person.

And I forgot to take a picture, but there is a shower room behind the lest room.

As you can see in the photo, it is filled with hot water. There was also a bath with hot water, but I did not know after someone entered it, so I chose one that did not contain hot water. It took about 15 minutes for soaking, and about 20 minutes for it to be full.

The temperature was quite hot at 44 degrees, so at first I could only put in footbath. By the way, there is no water to lower the temperature of the hot water. It can cool only naturally. It takes about 30 to 40 minutes for soaking normally.

It seems that there is no time limit, you can stay 2 hours or 3 hours in the hot spring. I think it is better to think of enjoying a hot spring for about 1 to 2 hours.

I am not sure, the quality of the springs, but in Thailand and Myanmar, just taking a shower, so it can be relax by the hot spring.
