About Kalaw
Kalaw is a small town next to Inle Lake. Although there is not many places to sightseeing in Kalaw. The trekking from Kalaw to Inle Lake is famous and many foreigners visit. The Trekking is 1 night and 2 days or 2 nights and 3 days, and you can choose several routes.
The place to stay is almost at the Myanmar people’s residences, so there is a different taste from the hotel. In other words, can you image the mountain hut? It will be like that. And the dinner is home cooking. Maybe it is difficult to eat Myanmar home food for foreigners.
Also, Kalaw is located around 1,000 meters in altitude, so please be careful as the temperature will cool down to around 10 degrees in the evening. It will be around 28 degrees during the day, but it does not feel so hot, because it is dry. About Airplane, the airport of near Kalaw(Hero Airport) is far from Kalaw, so it takes a time to go to Kalaw. Actually, I have not used it, but I think that it is not much different from the bus.
