California Maesot House
There are not many cheap accommodation in Mae Sot. I think that there is only one choice, but the facilities are very clean and satisfying. Owners are also conscientious, and they will tell you information in various ways.
The price is 180 baht, about US$ 6 for one night stay in Dormitory. There are no meals, but the showers and toilets are clean. There is also an air conditioner. Dormitory has 8 beds in 1 room and 2 rooms with 2 private rooms. The speed of the Internet is also fast and in general use it does not feel any stress.
However, there are few food shops around, you have to walk a little while eating. And there are 3 free bicycles, which can be used by first-come-first-served basis.
Also, the bus stop is in front of the guest house, so it’s convenient when going to the Mae Sot check point or bus terminal. In the morning, there are a lot of Song thew (Truck buses) running in front of the guest house, so you can get on in 10 minutes, if you wait. Song thew is 20 bahts each time, and the bus terminal is on the way to The Mae Sot Check Point, so you can go by the same bus.
Bike taxis cost about 100 baht and meter taxis cost about 180 baht to the check point.

There is a gate at the entrance and it looks like a normal house from the street, it’s a bit confusing, but it’s quite wide inside and there is plenty of space to put in a car. There are 3 free bicycles, which can be used first-in-first-out, but there is no rental motorbike at the guesthouse. |
It is a photo of the Dormitory. Dormitory is only one room, clean and air conditioned. There is also a security box, but there is no key, so please use your own. |
The toilet and bath are very large and spacious. The cleaning is perfect, so you can use it without stress. There is also a coin laundry. It is 30 baht once. |
There is a kitchen and a fridge, and there is also a microwave, you can use it freely, but it may not cook something at the kitchen, because seasonings are little. |
